USITC Publishes 2010 Version of HTSUS; Census Posts Tariff Numbers Invalid on AES

The
2010 version
of
the Harmonized
Tariff Schedule of the United States
(HTSUS) that
took effect on January 1, 2010, has been
published on the U.S. International Trade
Commission (ITC) website. Tariff information
from previous years can be accessed on the
Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States
Annotated (HTSA), which provides applicable
tariff rates and statistical categories for all
merchandise imported into the U.S.
In addition, the U.S. Census Bureau (Census) has posted a list of tariff numbers that are invalid for use in the Automated Export System (AES) as of January 1, 2010. The list is exclusive of HTSUS Chapter 98 codes, none of which may be used in AES.
